Press Release – Paw Pride and Grit Award winners for the first nine weeks were recently announced at East Elementary.

Paw Pride is an award given to the top two students in each class based on character, grades, and overall citizenship.  These students exemplify respect for friends, teachers and themselves by making good choices and setting a good example for others to follow.

The Grit Award is presented to students who exemplify what it means to have grit (working hard, perseverance, and never giving up).

Paw Pride and Grit Award winners were treated to a short trip to Jacobs Family Pharmacy where they enjoyed some frozen yogurt.

“Congratulations to our Paw Pride and Grit Award winners for making such good choices and working so hard,” stated Nanda Wilbourn, East Elementary Principal.  “And a big thank you to Jacobs Family Pharmacy.”
