Long time Brown County resident, Earl Dean Shepperd, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the age of 86.

Funeral will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Earl Dean was born in Brownwood to Loretta (Boler) and Lester “Shep” Shepperd on April 30, 1931.

Earl Dean was a strong Christian lady who touched lives of countless people.  Her beautiful smile radiated love for others.  She loved being around people; she was a caregiver for others for several years.  She also enjoyed teaching little ones in Sunday School.  She was a member of the art club in high school and she continued to paint throughout her younger years; her paintings expressed love and beauty.  She graduated from Bangs High School with honors in 1949.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bangs for seventy-five plus years.  She also loved worshipping at Grosvenor Baptist Church and enjoying the loving spirit of their members and pastor, David Barnum.

Earl Dean was preceded in death by her parents, both sets of grandparents, uncle Earl Boler and wife Aleene, Aunt Leatrice and husband Ferrel and their son Dwight.

She is survived by cousins, Bill and Kris Boler and Bitsy and Larry Aldridge (she always called these four “her kids”.)  She is survived by many other cousins and their offspring, friends, local caregiver and friend Betty Gallander, and the wonderful nurses, administrators, staff, and residents of Bangs Nursing Home.

Jesus will have a special place in heaven for Earl Dean.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
