Brownwood News – Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, November 1, 2017. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Your name and mug shot then will be removed from this site in 3-5 business days.

Monday, October 30th

*8:00 a.m. Brownwood Police, while investigating an unrelated incident, were made aware of a Hit and Run. The hit and run occurred in the 1500 block of Austin Avenue. A report was generated for this incident.

*11:21 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Fort Worth Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. Hector Javier Castaneda was arrested for Burglary w/intent to commit Assault and Criminal Mischief.

*3:03 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Commerce Street in reference to a forgery.

Tuesday, October 31st

*9:02 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Dr in reference to a burglary. An Officer spoke with the complainant and a report was generated for Burglary of a Vehicle Class A Misdemeanor.

*11:45 a.m. Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center in reference to theft. The complainant explained that they recently acquired a new customer from Atlanta, Georgia. The customer failed to pay for the product which totaled $13,205.39. A report has been completed.

*12:24 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to 700 block of Almond Street, in reference to criminal mischief. An Officer spoke with the complainant and a report was generated for Criminal Mischief greater than $100 but less than $750 Class B Misdemeanor and Theft of Property less than $100.

*5:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded tot he 3300 block of Austin Avenue for a traffic collision. During the investigation it was found that the driver responsible for the collision had fled the scene.

*5:57 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Almond Street in regards to a hit and run.

*10:55 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Southside Drive in regards to an active domestic disturbance call. Devin Brumbelow was arrested tor Evading Arrest/Detention and Assault Causes Bodily Injury.
