Mary Lou Easton Edgar

Mary Lou Eaton Edgar, 92, passed away peacefully at her home October 16, 2017.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 20 from 5:30-7:30 PM at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.  Graveside service will be Saturday, October 21 at Jenkins Spring Cemetery in Early at 2 PM.

Mary Lou was born October 28, 1924 in Bisbee, AZ to S. J. Eaton and Eva Francis Hoover.  She married George Edgar on February 14, 1943 in Brownwood.  They raised 6 children together while making a living ranching.  She also worked at Woolen Mills and was a seamstress for her family and later did alterations for the Glamour Shop.

Mary Lou was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in May and remained an active member as long as her health allowed.  She enjoyed gathering with the Senior Citizens at May playing games, visiting, and eating together.  She loved her family and helped with many of the grandchildren as they grew up.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 brothers, and 7 sisters.

Mary Lou is survived by her 6 children, Billy (Vicki) Edgar of Brownwood, Mary Kathryn (Robert) Wilder of May, Annie Marie Edgar of May, Clark (Darlene) Edgar of Moore, SC, Frank (Brenda) Edgar of Irving, and Jerry Edgar of Rosharon, TX; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and 2 sisters, Caroline Hulsey of Odessa and Eva May Stuart of AZ.
