Hattie Graham

Sgt. Hattie Graham, 41, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday September 27, 2017 in Gatesville, TX. Funeral Services will be held Monday October 9, 2017 at 9:30 am at the Heartland Church, with burial to follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene at 2:00 pm.

Hattie was born March 17, 1976 in Aurora IL to Woodman and Eleanor Graham. At an early age the family moved to New Orlean LA, where she would spend most of her childhood before moving to Brownwood and graduating high school in 1994. Soon after high school Hattie Joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Hattie served our country as a field radio operator, she received several recognitions including National Defense Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; and Rifle Badge Expert. After serving in the U.S. Marines Hattie eventually returned to Brownwood where she was a member of the Heartland Church. Hattie was a talented musician who loved to use her talents to serve the Lord, she played many instruments, including the Drums and Saxophone.

Left to cherish her memories are son Mason Tavier Heywood of San Marcos, daughter Samantha Graham of Brownwood, sister Ollye Snell of New Roads LA. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
