Roman R Sauseda, Jr., passed away Sunday September 3, 2017, in Brownwood Texas. A funeral mass, under the direction of Heartland Funeral & Cremations, will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday September 7, 2017, at Saint Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brownwood. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Heartland Chapel Wednesday September 6th.  Condolences to the family can be left online at www.heartlanddfuneralhome.net

Roman was born July 21, 1932, in Whiteland, TX to Roman C and Mary Rodriguez Sauseda. The family moved to Brownwood where Roman attended school. He married Mary Ramos May 10, 1952 shortly before Roman joined the United States Army. He served in Kentucky and returned to Brownwood at the end of his tour. Roman worked at various companies, Continental Grain, Swift and Company, Paint and Body Works, the Texas Highway Department, and Kohler where he retired. He loved spending time with his family, loved to dance and listen to music. Roman was a Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching all sports.

Roman is survived by daughters, Rachel Perez and husband Daniel of Brownwood, TX, Linda Sanchez and husband Gilbert of Houston, TX; son, Mario Sauseda of Brownwood, TX; daughter-in-law, Brenda Sauseda of Brownwood, TX; grandchildren, Michael and Lorraine Maldanado of Houston, TX, Jeremy Sauseda of Brownwood, TX, Nicole and Doni Barron of Brownwood, TX, Valerie and J.P. Salazar of Brownwood, TX, Mary Lara and Michael Vela of Hutto, TX, Andrea and Omar Cervantez of Houston, TX, Chris Lara of Brownwood, TX, and Gilbert Sanchez of Houston, TX; 21 great-grandchildren, Evander, Larissa, Breyle, Mariah, Ariana, Brittany, Naysa, Vincent, J.J., Peter, Elijah, Matthew, Jaselyn,Raven, Aaliyah, Baby O, Benjamin, Hazel, John Paul, Jennifer, and Alyssa; brother, Ernest Sauseda of Houston, TX; sisters, Mary S. Carmona Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Diamantina Sauseda of Whitier, CA. Roman is preceded in death by his parents Roman and Mary Sauseda, Mary R Sauseda; son, Ricci Sauseda; daughter, Diane Sauseda.
