Grand Jury Returns 70 Indictments in August Session

Brownwood News – During the August, 2017, session of the Brown County Grand Jury, Seventy (70) True Bills were returned against Sixty-Five (65) persons. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Your name and/or mug shot then will be removed from this site in 3-5 business days.

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names on new indictments until after the Grand Jury proceedings have been processed through the District Clerk and a file marked copy of the Grand Jury Report has been returned. The District Attorney’s Office does not release names of Defendants who have been indicted by a Grand Jury but not yet arrested because of an indictment being sealed until the time of arrest.
