Donny Reece Hopkins

Donny Reece Hopkins, age 58, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Donny was born on August 25, 1958, to Maurice and Margaret (Hughes) Hopkins in Ft. Worth. Donny loved his music and to ride his motorcycle. He was the “life of the party” and had a really big heart; he would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved his kids, family, and his friends. Donny was previously married to Jeanie Baldwin.

Donny is survived by his children, Luke Hopkins, Jeanna Hopkins, Tamara Hopkins and husband Amos Carlisle, Josh Hopkins and wife Julie Rodriguez, Denny Hopkins and wife Brittani all of Brownwood; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Christine McClure-Atwood and husband Harry of Louisiana, Cheryl Lubow and husband David of Lancaster; and brothers, Mike Barrow of Louisiana, Larry Hopkins and wife Monica of Reno, Texas. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Margaret Hopkins; and 2 brothers Terry Barrow and James Hopkins.

Funeral Services for Donny will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Hopkins officiating; interment will be private. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
