Brownwood News – Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, August 9, 2017. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Monday, August 7th

*6:00 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of Norwood for a hit and run accident. A report was generated for this incident.

*10:00 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of 3rd street in reference to criminal mischief. A report was generated for this incident.

*2:11 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue C in reference to theft. After speaking with the complainant, a report was generated for Theft of Property greater than/equal to $100 less than $750.

*4:00 p.m. Brownwood Police Department responded to the 2100 block of 10th Street in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. A report has been generated for this incident.

Tuesday, August 8th

*2:12 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a caseworker from CPS regarding child endangerment. The incident is currently under investigation.

*3:00 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding debit card abuse. A report was filed.

*3:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of South Park Drive in reference to an Assault. Report was generated for this incident.

*5:50 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of Main St. in reference to criminal trespass. According to the report, a suspect “jumped the fence” to gain access to the business and took wheels and tires of a vehicle being held there. Investigation is still on going. The suspect is believed to be the owner of the vehicle.

*7:28 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Bailey Street in reference to a theft. The complainant reported that someone stole her dog from her backyard. The dog is described as a brindle colored Boston Terrier.

*8:17 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a north Brownwood business regarding a theft. A report was filed.
