Eual “Bud” Allgood

Graveside services for Eual “Bud” Allgood, age 97, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the May Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.  The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.  He passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Brownwood.

Bud was born on February 20, 1920 in Owens, Texas to Finis and Ila Dunn Allgood.  He married Jewel Catherine Miller on January 6, 1940 in Brownwood, Texas. Bud had worked for the City of Brownwood 18 years and Davis- Morris Funeral Home and Heartland Funeral Home for twenty.  He was also self-employed selling watermelons, cantaloupes and anything else he could to make a living. Bud was a lifetime resident of this area, was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed coon hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his sons Frank Allgood and wife Mary, Eual Allgood and wife Suzie and daughter Susie Harwell, son-in-law Wayne Guill,  twelve grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 25 great great grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Finis and Ila Allgood, wife Jewel Allgood, daughter Patricia Guill, son-in-law Bobby Harwell, grandsons Frank White and Cory Sellars, ten brothers and sisters Curtis, Aubrey, Otis, Eula, Vada, Vera, Irene, Edna and by two infant twins.
