Annetta “Rae” Martin Shipp

Annetta “Rae” Martin Shipp, age 90, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

Funeral Services for Rae will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon John Specht officiating. Burial will held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at Forest Park East Cemetery in Houston, Texas. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Rae was born to Al and Hazel (Nelson) Jones on February 13, 1927, in Waco, Texas. She retired from the State of Texas. Rae was an avid bowler, she loved to paint and travel, but most of all she loved her family.

Rae is survived by her husband, Walter Shipp; sons, Robert L. Martin III and wife Rita of Michigan, Scott Martin and wife Wanda of Brownwood; step-daughter, Donna Holdener and husband Glen of Willis, Texas; step-son, Craig Shipp of Louisiana; grandchildren, Rob Martin, Leslie Woodbury, Logan Martin, John Martin, James Martin, Jason Holdener, Chad Hampton, Stacee Hetzel, Carrie Martinez, Krissi Prince, and Denise Gordy; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces, other relatives, and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert L Martin, Jr.; parents, Al and Hazel Jones; and brother, Bobby Jones.
