BRMC Press Release – The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers are pleased to announce the selection of the June 2017 BRMC Volunteer of the Month. Marilynn Jackson joined the BRMC Volunteer Organization in October of 2006. She is a familiar face at the Day Surgery/Pre-operation Registration, the Emergency Waiting Room, and the Intensive Care Waiting Area Volunteer Service Desks at BRMC.

Marilynn enjoys providing assistance to patients and their families during their visits to Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She is a past President of the BRMC Volunteer Organization having served in that position of responsibility in 2012 – 2013. Marilynn also served as the Chairperson of the Intensive Care Unit Waiting Room Volunteer Service Area from 2008 thru 2012. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Emergency Waiting Room Area Volunteer Service Area having assumed this position of responsibility in 2016. Her knowledge of the BRMC Volunteer Organization and her willingness to assist, when needed, is an invaluable asset to the BRMC Volunteers.

Marilynn has accumulated over 7,000 hours of volunteer service at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer and are actively soliciting new members. If you have an interest in serving others a minimum of 6 to 8 hours per month, BRMC Volunteering will meet your needs. BRMC Volunteer applications may be obtained in the BRMC Gift Shop, at the front entrance information desk, online at http://www.brmc-cares.com or by calling the BRMC Volunteer Office at 325-649-3399 or emailing the BRMC Volunteers at [email protected] and stating that you would like to become a BRMC Volunteer. Those who have an interest in volunteering may also contact Andrea Lee, BRMC Marketing Coordinator, at 325-649-3392.
