Allie Dow Hutton Chambers

A graveside funeral service for Allie Dow Hutton Chambers, age 97, of Early, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Blake Cemetery with Bill Slaymaker officiating, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chambers died Thursday, June 22, 2017 in a local nursing facility.

Allie Dow Jones was born on June 27, 1919 in the Williams community to Blake and Lucy (Eikens) Jones.  She attended Williams schools and married  Nolan “Junior” Hutton.  After Nolan’s death in 1989, Allie married her high school sweetheart, Doug Chambers.  Allie was a devout Baptist and a member of the Owens Extension Education Association (Owens Home Demonstration Club).  She was a loving housewife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Allie is survived by her daughter, Mary Barnes and husband Travis of Early; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, George Alton Hutton, both of her husbands, and all five of her siblings.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Owens Extension Education Association, 605 Fisk Ave, Brownwood, 76801.
