Ethel Cristell McDonald

On Friday, June 2, 2017, Ethel Cristell McDonald went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ just six days short of her 91st birthday after fighting a long battle with Alzheimer’s while staying at Cross Country Healthcare.

Cris is celebrating with her mother, Ethel March (Brawley) Horton; father, Little Claude Horton; husband, Marvin McDonald and her eight brothers, Hosea Markus, William Thelmer (Bunt), James Clarence, Archie Claude, Clifford Lee,  Rondoe Isaac, Leman Andrew and L. C. (Little Clem) Horton; son-in-law Dub Nolen and many other family members.

Cris is survived by her six children, Rita Nolen of Lake Brownwood, James Alexander and spouse Ann of May, Connie Arnold and spouse Greg of Houston, Angela Shaver of Lake Brownwood, Sheila Partin and spouse Jessie of Brownwood, and Paul McDonald and spouse Felicitas of Houston.

Cris had ten grandchildren, Nicole, Casey, Brandon, Jason, Shannon, Matt, Marcia, Billy, Crystal and Cesar; numerous great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Fredna Horton of Bangs.

Funeral services for Cris will be held at 10 AM Monday at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
