TexasBank presents $40,000 to Brown County Schools through James and Dorothy Doss Foundation

Press Release – TexasBank recently announced that $88,000 in scholarship funds will be given to local and area high schools and colleges through the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation.

Benefitting institutions include Howard Payne University for $25,000, Texas State Technical College Regents Circle for $5,000 and Brownwood High School for $5,000 with scholarships being awarded to students from Brown, Comanche, Eastland and Erath Counties. Students from school districts in Brown County include Bangs, Blanket, Brookesmith, Brownwood, Early, May, and Zephyr.

“The Board and Ownership of TexasBank are committed to the education of our future leaders. Nearly $800,000 has been given over the past 9 years to further the education of the youth in the markets we serve, said Greg Dodds, President and CEO of TexasBank. “This is what community banking is all about. Being able to make a real difference in the lives of these youth and their families is what sets us apart and continues to push us forward. There is nothing more rewarding than this.”
