Press Release – The Ark Domestic Violence Shelter (The Ark), is hosting a co-ed softball tournament June 17th that will start at 8:00 a.m. at the Bert V. Massey II Sports Complex in Brownwood. The deadline for teams to register is June 13th. There is a $200 registration fee for each team and all proceeds raised will go to support The Ark’s shelter.

The tournament will follow USSSA Slow Pitch Softball rules. The Ark is encouraging anyone 16 years of age and older to put a team together and come out and help them “Knock Domestic Violence Out of the Park.” There are a limited number of team spaces available, so teams should reserve their spot as soon as possible.

The first place prize for the winning team will be 12 Full Custom Jerseys, the second place prize will be 12 t-shirts, and there will also be a Home Run Derby and the winner will receive 4 baseball tickets for The Texas Rangers. The Ark will also be selling hamburger and hotdog plates.
