Funeral services for Juan Antonio Arredondo, Sr., age 73, of Brownwood, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017, at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will following Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. The Rosary will start at 6:00 p.m., Friday, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with visitation to follow.

Mr. Arredondo died Monday, May 8, 2017 in a Round Rock hospital.

Juan was born on October 12, 1943 in Jimenez, Coah. Mexico to Bonificio and Maria Arredondo. He worked for Kohler Company for a number of years before retirement. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Juan enjoyed raising horses and other farm animals, but he was happiest with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Juan is survived by his wife, Anna Maria Arredondo of Brownwood; four sons, Daniel Arredondo and wife Shenika of Brownwood, Alex Arredondo and wife Virginia of Leander, Joel Arredondo and wife Francisca of Fort Worth, Jaimie Arredondo and wife Amalia of Brownwood; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Domingo Arredondo of Killeen, Augustine Arredondo of San Angelo, Jorge Arredondo of San Angelo, and Guadalupe Medina of Jimenez, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Juan Antonio Arredondo Jr., four brothers and a sister.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
