Frazier L. “Red” Low

A graveside funeral service for Frazier L. “Red” Low, age 82, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 1, 2017 in Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 at the funeral home.

Red passed from this life on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in Brownwood.

Frazier Lon “Red” Low was born on October 1, 1934 in San Saba to Wood L. and Sarah Louise (Jackson) Low.  He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1954.  He went to work for GTE and enjoyed a 31-year career.  Red married Doris Erwin in 1962.  He served in the National Guard and was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.  Red enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, baseball and golf.  He was a longtime member of the Brownwood Country Club.

Red is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Doris Low of Brownwood, a son Jeff Low and wife Hillary of Ennis, a granddaughter, Madison Low of Ennis; three brothers, Jack Low, Joe Low and wife Nelda, Jerry Low and wife Helen, all of Brownwood; a sister, Judy Pittman and husband Johnny of Nederland, and a brother-in-law, Jim Erwin of Topeka, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don Low and Waydean Low.
