Johnnie Summers, 87 of Bangs, passed away at the Bangs Nursing Home Tuesday April 18, 2017.  Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Greater Faith Community Church. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Johnnie Summers was born October 17, 1929 in Greensboro North Carolina. Johnnie moved to Syracuse, New York, at a young age and would spend the majority of his life there. Johnnie was a member of a Gospel Quartet group in North Carolina, and he loved to praise and worship God in song. Johnnie loved to fish in his spare time, and he loved his family.
Johnnie was preceded in death by both parents, and wife Evelyn Taylor Robinson-Summers.
Left to cherish his memories are daughters: Sandra Bradshaw-Tucker (Jerry) of Bangs, Katherine Lamb of Tallahassee FL. Dorline Tomlinson of Bridgeton NJ, Cecilia Davis of New Castle DE, son John Taylor of Bridgeton NJ, 19 grandchildren including; Harriett Wilson (Patrick) of Brownwood, Gwendolyn Moore (Ernest) of New Castle DE, Dena Stepney of San Antonio TX, Rochell Bradshaw of Bangs, Andrew Bradshaw of Bangs, and host of great-grandchildren, nieces nephews, extended family and many friends.
