Mike Wadsworth

Memorial Services for Mike Wadsworth, age 76, of San Saba County will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Mercury Baptist Church with Chad Anderson officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Mike passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Mike was born on September 21, 1940, in Houston, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Mike married the love of his life, Pat Rhoden, on July 14, 1961, in La Porte, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

He retired from Lubrizol Chemical after 23 years and moved to San Saba County in 1990, where he farmed and ranched until his death. After retiring from Lubrizol Chemical, he also worked for and retired from T.Y.C. and T.D.C.J. He was a past Master Mason of San Saba Lodge #612. Mike was a member and Deacon of Mercury Baptist Church.

Mike is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat Wadsworth of San Saba County; son, Michael Wadsworth of San Saba County; daughter, Tricia Lay and husband Patrick of San Saba County; grandchildren, Austin Beale, Mackenzie Beale, Madeline Wadsworth, and Meredith Wadsworth; brother, Robert Oliver and wife Judy of Houston; nephew, Al Oliver; and nieces, Wendy Nell Anya and Carey Rhoden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Oliver; mother, Evelyn Wadsworth and step-father, Al Wadsworth.
