Bobbie (Wood) Smith

Bobbie (Wood) Smith, a long-time resident of Brown County, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the age of 72.

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 30, 1944, Bobbie was a loving wife, a caring mother, and a fantastic mema. Bobbie had a love for animals like none other, especially her 3 dogs. Bobbie enjoyed fishing, art and gardening. Bobbie could be described as a facetious woman, who enjoyed a good laugh. She was a fun-loving woman who lit up the room. Bobbie is lovingly remembered by her husband James of 27 years, her sister Nancy Wood, her son John Trosper and wife Judy, her daughter Sandra Brown, her daughter Ivalena Bacon and husband Daniel, her grandchildren Misty, John Jr, Kristine, Randa, Scott, Sam, Bridgette, Jackson, Ashley, Catherine, Crystal, Jessica, and Amanda, her 19 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Marvin & Mary Jo Wood, her brother Paul Wood, her two sons Marvin Ladewig and Bill Trosper and her granddaughter Crystal Bowen.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bangs Housing Authority Community Center at 406 W. Spencer Street, Bangs, on Saturday April 8, 2017 at 3:00 pm.

Plants and flowers may be sent to 1808 Calvert Road, Brownwood.
