Police Blotter: 3/22

Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, March 22, 2017. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.

Monday, March 20th

*7:28 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of 1st Street in reference to an assault. Injury to a Child or Elderly person was listed in the report.

*10:29 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 3100 block of Austin Avenue after a vehicle was allegedly speeding. During the traffic stop, officers arrested Isaac Levi Bill for two outstanding warrants out of Brownwood Municipal Court. Narcotics were found in Bill’s vehicle. Bill was also arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG2>=4G<400G and Possession of Marijuana<2 oz.

*2:16 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from the 500 block of Center Avenue regarding “commercial bribery” after a local business told police they had been scammed by a credit card processing company. A report has been filed.

*2:20 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Vincent Street in reference to fraud. A report has been generated.

*4:14 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center in reference to theft. A report was generated for burglary of a vehicle with a laptop reported as stolen.

Tuesday, March 21st

*6:48 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Avenue B in reference to criminal mischief. The suspect was unable to be located at the time of the report. An investigation is ongoing. Over $2,500 worth of damage was listed in the report.

*3:35 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop for an obscured license plate in the 100 block of Market Place Road. During the stop, narcotics were found in the vehicle. Matthew C Magistro was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1 G, Possession of Controlled Substance PG3<28G and Possession of Marijuana.

*5:02 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Avenue K in reference to a theft. According to the report, an unknown suspect stole a bicycle in the 200 block of East Commerce Street.

*9:34 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 3700 block of US 377. During the stop, officers arrested Christapher Spruill for Possession of Marijuana<2 oz.
