April Dawn Butler, 42, of Brownwood, Texas passed into eternity on March 19th after an unexpected illness. She was born in Rockdale, Texas on March 26, 1974 to Dale Elmer Butler and Suzette Brown Butler.

Her love for others and selflessness was often reflected in her generous nature. Her friends, family and even strangers can speak of her willingness to give unconditionally and without reservation. But the unquestioned true loves of her life were her two sons. All who meet these two young men will know that none could hope for greater earthly treasures.

April is survived by her two children, Dillon Michael and Brandon Lee; her parents, Dale Elmer and Suzette Brown Butler of Brownwood, Texas; two brothers and their wives Dace and Amie Butler of Pensacola, Florida and Jonathon and Amanda Butler of Abilene, Texas; two nephews Dace Eric Butler II and Jackson Butler both of Pensacola, Florida; two uncles and aunts, Larry and Gail Spencer and Petie and Lou Graham and six cousins and their families. She is preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Cole Butler of Brownwood, Texas, maternal grandparents Woodrow and Ella Mae Brown of Early, Texas and paternal grandparents Elmer and Louise Butler of Milano,Texas.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas with Pastor James Glasscock of Early Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow in Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County, Texas. Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
