Theola was born on September 16, 1931 in Holder, Texas to James William Thomas and Martha Mae McDonald Thomas. On August 29, 1951 she married Charles Harvey Woodward in Brownwood, Texas. Theola dedicated most of her work life helping others as a certified nurse’s aide.

Theola is survived by her sister Maxine Medford and husband Dwain Medford of Mullin, TX, and children: Theresa Woodward of Early, TX, and Judy Welch and husband Alan of Santa Anna, TX. Two Grandchildren: Jennifer Tharp and husband Patrick, and Molly Shults and husband Shaun. Five great Grandchildren: Jaiden, Jarrah, and Jensyn Joyner, and Reagan and Cooper Shults, and many nieces and nephews.

Theola is preceded in death by her parents James and Martha, husband Charles, daughter Sherri Ivy,and siblings: Henry Hendrix, Annie Mae Wilkerson, D.W. Thomas, William Carl Thomas, Hillman Wayne Thomas, Normie H. Thomas.

Visitation will be open to all Tuesday, February 7 , 2017 at Heartland Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. Services will be at Heartland Funeral Home on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 10:00am.
