Police Blotter: Narcotics Stolen From Assisted Living Facility

On Tuesday, February 7th, Brownwood Police were called to a local assisted living facility in reference to a report of stolen narcotics. Several known suspects were listed. Items reported stolen included Alparazolam, and Hydrocodone. A report was filed and the investigation is ongoing.

Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, February 8, 2017. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.

Monday, February 6th

*8:30 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding a theft. A report was filed.

*10:38 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from the 2700 block of Avenue B in reference to Criminal Mischief. A report was filed.

*11:59 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Campa Drive regarding a burglary. Several tools were reported stolen from a residence and suspects were named. A report was filed.

*12:32 p.m Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of 4th Street in reference to a burglary. There are no known suspects at this time. A report was filed.

*2:29 p.m Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault. A report was filed.

*3:21 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from the 400 block of North Broadway regarding a burglary. A storage facility showed signs of forced entry. A report was filed.

Tuesday, February 7th

*6:45 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Belle Plain for Criminal Mischief. A report was filed.

*7:45 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin in reference to a stolen vehicle. A report was filed and the investigation is ongoing.

*11:29 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the 1400 block of Main Boulevard. During this stop, officers arrested 39 year old Jason Lewis Brewer for Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 1 gram, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 28 grams.

*4:16 p.m. Brownwood Police received a walk-in report at the Law Enforcement Center regarding Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. A report was filed.

John David Sterling

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested 66 year old John David Sterling, of Bangs, for Sex Offenders Duty to Register. Sterling was convicted of Indecency with a Child/Sexual Contact of a child under the age of 10 years old in 2013.
