Police Blotter: 01/31

Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, January 31, 2017. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.

Monday, January 30th

*9 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a bank on the 1000 block of Clements Street regarding a counterfeit bill. A manager told the officers a female had brought the counterfeit money in and “wanted to know options.” The bills were placed into evidence and the investigation is ongoing.

*10:57 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a South Brownwood business in reference to a theft. A complainant advised the officers that an unknown suspect entered the business at some point over the weekend and stole equipment. A report has been filed and the investigation is ongoing.

*6:57 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from the 1300 block of Center Avenue regarding a burglary of a vehicle. A report has been filed.

*7:07 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a North Brownwood business in reference to counterfeit bills. The bills were collected as evidence and a report has been filed. The investigation is ongoing.

*7:15 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 13th street in reference to a noise nuisance. Upon arrival, officers noted a domestic disturbance. During the investigation drug paraphernalia was located and seized. Officers issued a citation.

*8:12 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Stephen F Austin in reference to a domestic disturbance. After investigating, officers discovered a suspect was harboring an individual wanted for a parole warrant. A report for Hindering Apprehension was filed.

*City Marshall arrested 38 year old Angelina Sophronia Burks for Abandon/Endangering a Child/Criminal Negligence.

*Early Police arrested 18 year old Cutter Dicky for Speeding.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested 54 year old Tony Scott Earp, AKA: Scotty Earp, on warrants for Aggravated Assault, and Burglary.

*City Marshall arrested 31 year old Jacob Dwayne Hounshell for Assault/Family Violence – strangulation.

*City Marshall arrested 34 year old Roy Lee Jr. for Failure to Appear: Class C Traffic Offense, expired registration.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested 27 year old Jeffrey Lee Schafer, of Brookesmith, on a motion to revoke warrant: Possession of a Controlled Substance.

*City Marshall arrested 30 year old Tristan Kyle Sudderth on an indictment warrant for Invasive Visual Recording.
