Press Release – Go Red for Women is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and to give women knowledge and motivation to take charge of their health, as heart disease is the #1 killer of women.

The Brown County Heart Association joined with Willie’s T’s to create this year’s design. It includes a red shirt with a heart shaped word cloud and heartbeat graphic. Purchasing and wearing the shirts is a simple and powerful way to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. By joining thousands of women, companies, organizations, and cities across America, those who purchase and wear the “Go Red for Women” t-shirt help American Heart Association support ongoing research and education about women and heart disease.

Businesses, schools and organizations are encouraged to send group photos of staff members wearing the “Go Red” shirts to show their support of this vital project to:

BrownwoodNews.com, the Brownwood Bulletin, and to the KOXE Facebook group.
