Press Release – On Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at approximately 7:15 a.m., members of the Brownwood Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Early Police Department executed a narcotics search and arrest warrant in the 500 block of 7st Street in Brownwood. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in Brown County.

Investigators seized approximately 627 grams (1.5 pounds) of methamphetamine packaged for distribution and evidence related to the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics. This is the single largest seizure of methamphetamine in the City of Brownwood. This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.

Juanita Villarreal, W/F, 47 years of age, and Pascual Castaneda Sr., W/M, 52 years of age, were arrested without incident by members of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.
