Jenivie Janner Pruett

obit-pic-2Jenivie Janner Pruett, age 89, of Brownwood went to her heavenly home Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

Funeral Services for Jenivie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Slaymaker officiating; burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Jenivie Janner Pruett was on born January 19, 1927, in Llano to Theodore and Vada Janner. She was a talented seamstress and artist. She traveled with her family and lived across the country as a military wife. In later years she enjoyed being a member, singing and performing with the Red Hats. Jenivie was a wife, mother, and homemaker; she had a wonderful life and enjoyed her grandchildren most of all.

Jenivie is survived by her son, Arnold Pruett and wife Jannice of Colorado; daughters, Laura Hatcher and husband Don of Brownwood, Shirley Day and husband Gaylon of Blanket; 8 grandchildren: Cody Pruett and wife Raynell, Chad Pruett, James Brocksch, Andrew Hatcher, Nicholas Hatcher, Angela Ellison and husband Christopher, Missy Sikes and husband Cale, and Beth Day; 7 great-grandchildren: Zack, Dakota, Christina, Emileigh, Ethan, Aiden, Coleman, and Mary; sisters, Lanell Moore of Springtown and Alvadine Janner of Brownwood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Coleman Pruett, and a sister, Marjorie Woodruff of Houston.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to CARE Nursing and Rehab and Kindred Hospice for the loving care and generosity they gave.
