The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and Brownwood Regional Medical Center held the 8th Annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival Friday December 2nd and Saturday December 3rd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Depot Plaza Complex and the Lehnis Railroad Museum.

Nonprofit organizations were set up inside the Depot Civic Center selling treats like funnel cakes and hot chocolate. Children were encouraged to build crosses and decorate Christmas ornaments, cookies, and more.

Attendees were able to enjoy the giant inflatable snow slide, called “Snow Mountain,” during breaks from the rain. Across the street from the Depot Plaza, the Lehnis Railroad Museum offered holiday train demos, live entertainment and mini-train rides.

Local sponsors for this year’s festival include: Brownwood Regional Medical Center,  United Supermarkets,  McCoy’s, Home Depot, Brownwood Women’s Clinic, and Landmark Life. Big Wheel Races sponsored by Matthew Williams – State Farm and Sonic Drive-in.
