chili-lunchThe Brownwood Art Association invites the public to a special preview of their small art sale as part of their First Thursday monthly reception. The Art Center will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 1st. There is no cost to attend the reception. The preview will show art pieces available for purchase during the annual Chili Lunch fundraiser to be held the following day. Members of the art association have donated paintings and photographs for purchase to benefit the association’s work in the community.

The Brownwood Art Association will host their annual Chili Lunch & Small Painting Sale on Friday, December 2nd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Art Center, located at 215 Fisk Avenue in downtown Brownwood. Tickets are $5 each and are available at ASAP Creative Arts, 220 Main Street inside the House of Wheels (Yamaha Dealer), in Brownwood, as well as from various members of the Art Association. Tickets are also available online: https://squareup.com/store/brownwoodart/

“Come enjoy delicious chili with all the trimmings, dessert and tea, and peruse fantastic paintings and photos for sale,” the Art Association recently posted on their Facebook Page.

Proceeds from the lunch as well as the sale of paintings and photos will benefit the Brownwood Art Association.

This event is a major fundraiser for the association. Money raised helps the association encourage art in the community through a range of activities and classes. The Art Association also provides scholarship funds to area college students who are majoring in art. To learn more about the local art association, visit their website: www.brownwoodart.com
