ellen-vest-001Funeral services for Ellen Louise Vest, age 76, of Brownwood, will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

She went to be with her Lord and savior on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 3:53 in the morning.

Ellen Louise Vest was born July 17, 1940 to Marvie “MD” and Norene “GG” Roberts. She graduated from Rising Star High School. She married Jack Vest on Feb 10, 1981. They remained together until his passing in 2013. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Brownwood. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, loving her team even when they lost. She loved her dogs, considering them as much of the family as anyone else.

She was one of those people who you couldn’t help but love. She was strong-willed, very opinionated and didn’t mind telling you what was on her mind, but she had the biggest heart of anyone you’ve ever meet. If you did right by her she would move mountains to help you in any way she could. She was a remarkable woman and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, MD and GG Roberts, her husband Jack Vest, her daughter Lorena Thompson, and her great grandson Sammy Roy. She left behind a sister, Ginger Powers of Lake Brownwood, a daughter, Loetta White of Lake Brownwood, a son, Lanny Bush, formerly of Lake Brownwood, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous other loved ones and friends.

Condolences can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
