Funeral services for Butch Hicks, 73, of Brownwood, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 in Abilene.
He was born on April 13, 1943 in Brownwood to Ira and Julia George Hicks. On Aug. 19, 1966 he married Marth Massey in Brownwood. He was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church and retired from 3M.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lance Hicks and wife Heather of Brownwood and Kyle Hicks of Austin; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Roberts.
