A memorial service for Johnney Ray Hopper, age 72, of Lake Brownwood, will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at High Mesa Cowboy Church with Todd King officiating.  Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Mr. Hopper died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his home.

Johnney Ray Hopper was born on December 6, 1943 in Winters to William Ray and Anna Lee (Gibbs) Hopper.  He attended Winters schools and graduated in 1965.  He attended Angelo State University for two years before serving in the US Army for four years.  In 1972 Johnney went to work for 3M where he worked for the next 30 years before his retirement.

Johnny is survived by his daughter, Brandi Stanley and husband John of Early, a granddaughter, Mattie Jane Stanley; his former wife of 32 years, Connie Alley Hubbard; two sisters, Marlene Gardner and Rae Beck; other family members, Virginia and Pyburn Brown and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Jon Benton Hopper.
