Mighty Maroon Lion Marching Band Advances to Area Contest

UILReg7MarchingContest2016The Brownwood High School (BHS) Mighty Maroon Lion Marching Band competed at the UIL Region 7 Marching Band Contest at Early High School on Saturday, October 22nd.  The band earned a First Division rating from each of the judges.

Contest judges applauded the band with several positive comments. Paul Fellows, Copperas Cove High School Band Director stated, “Good Job with the color Guard!”

“Overall tone production – Superior! Overall Musicianship – Superior! Congratulations,” noted retired band director, Jeff Estes.

“Nice moments! Nice job,” wrote Keith Zuehlke, Clifton High School Band Director.

“Congratulations to the Lion Band for their outstanding work,” said BHS Band Director, David Lambert.

The Mighty Maroon Lion Marching Band will advance and compete at the UIL Area B Marching Contest Saturday, October 29th at Collins Stadium in Denton.

Lambert added, “Please come out and support your hometown band.”
