1st Annual Barktoberfest to Kick Off Saturday

BarktoberfestLogoThe inaugural Barktoberfest community event is scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd at the Depot Civic & Cultural Center Plaza and will offer a variety of activities – all to support a good cause.

Barktoberfest will be an all-day event featuring food and craft vendors, pet friendly activities, contests, and more will start at 10 AM and continue through 5 PM on event day.  There will be fun activities like a “Strut your Mutt” costume contest and pup pageant, a ball pool for furry friends, food vendors, craft vendors, booths, games and more.

Beer Gardens open at 1 p.m. with craft beers, barbecue and food vendors.

After 4 PM, the Depot grounds will gear up for the festive “Octoberfest” style dinner and Texas country music.  Bands to be featured include Prophets and Outlaws, Callahan Divide, Bush Holloway Band and Last Dance Band.  General admission for the concerts is $20.

Proceeds for this Canine Cats Uncorked event will benefit the PAWS program at the Ron Jackson SJCC.
