Monday, September 12

*4:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.

Tuesday, September 13

*4:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on 8th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, a case was opened for assault family violence – strangulation and for interfere with emergency phone call.

*11:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Hillsboro Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim stated she was assaulted by a female friend.  During the assault, the victim was struck with a fist and bitten and wished to pursue criminal charges.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of harassment.  According to the report, the complainant’s ex-wife has been sending him multiple harassing text messages and has been following him and his girlfriend around town.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 64-year-old Monica R. Blake of Brownwood on a warrant related to injury of a child/elderly/disabled person with intent bodily injury.  Blake was later released on $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 64-year-old Phillip Eldon Brown of Early on a warrant related to sex offender’s duty to register for life.  Brown was later released on $10,000 bond.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Buffington of Brownwood on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and violate promise to appear.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 43-year-old Thomas Reed Stewart of Brownwood on a warrant related to itinerant merchant, peddler or vendor.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement jail records.
