Brownwood and Early City Offices to Close for Labor Day Holiday

CityofBrownwoodlogo_smallBrownwood City Hall and other City offices will close Monday, September 5th in honor of Labor Day.  The Police and Fire Departments, along with other critical city services, will remain unaffected by the closure.

The following services and facilities will operate on a holiday schedule:

  • Solid Waste Collections / Sanitation: No garbage, bulk trash or yard waste collections take place on Monday, September 5. Residents with curbside garbage collection please have your blue or green cart placed curbside by 7 a.m. and note that your trash will be collected as follows:

Monday’s collections take place Tuesday September 6th.

Tuesday’s collections take place Wednesday, September 7.

  • Utilities: Emergency service is available for water and sewer needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Customers can call 325-646-6000 to report water or sewer problems.
  • The City of Brownwood Landfill and Recycling Center will close Monday September 5.

Regular operational hours for all facilities will resume on Tuesday September 6. For more information, visit www.brownwoodtexas.gov.

The City of Early will be closed Monday, September 5th for Labor Day.

There will be no changes to the Residential trash routes, collection as normal on Tuesday, Sept. 6th.  Call Early City Hall at 643-5451 for more information.
