The Brownwood Area Community Garden invites local gardeners to a Fall and Winter Gardening class, this Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10-11am, at the Shade Arbor in the Garden.

Learn what vegetables and herbs grow well in this area during the fall and winter, and when to plant them.

The class fee is $5 for the general public, and free for those already leasing space at the Garden.

A limited number of raised beds are also available for a 6-month lease, for a reduced rate of $25.  All leases expire at the end of February, 2017, and may then be renewed in March for the following year.

The Garden is located at 1514 Dublin Street in Brownwood, inside the Brownwood Housing Authority Park Homes.  Parking is behind the CTO building (Central Texas Opportunities).
