The University Singers—a community and collegiate choral opportunity—is welcoming new musical enthusiasts into its membership. The choir will be under the direction of Dr. Christopher Rosborough, the newly appointed Director of Choral Activities at Howard Payne University.

This unique entity within Howard Payne presents two concerts per year (one at Christmas time and one in the spring). It is the goal of this ensemble to:

Cultivate an ensemble of singers within the community and academy who strive to offer a high level of artistry, while advocating for great choral music in Brownwood and its surrounding areas.

Through participation, choristers can expect to glean a balance of exposure to great choral literature, thorough vocal instruction and ultimately a knowledge and execution of musical excellence.

Please note that membership is not limited to Brownwood residents and HPU students; all are welcome to take part in this ensemble.

Rehearsals are every Monday night from 6:30 – 7:50pm beginning on August 29.
