SchulzeGaryFuneral services for Gary Wayne Schulze, age 65, of Blanket, Texas will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Heartland Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Pinkston officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in the Bangs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. He passed away Wednesday August 10, 2016 at his residence with his loving family and friends by his side.

Gary was born in Brownwood, Texas on August 11, 1950 to John and Margie McCoy Schulze.  After graduating from Bangs High School, Gary proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp. A lifetime resident on Brown County, he owned and operated R & S Construction, and was also employed for SanteFe Railroad for about 12 years. He was a member of the Early Church, Alcoholics Anonymous, National Rifle Association and the American Foreign Legion. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, animals and his guns and knives.

Survivors include his longtime companion Lynn Reynolds; his children Gary Landon Schulze, TraDawn Daigneault and husband Josh, and Thomas Lance Schulze and girlfriend Amanda Balencia; sister Carolyn Browder; grandchildren Dagan, Dylan and Darrian Whisenhunt, Nathan and Ty Daigneault, Brandon & Michael, Rayliann and Gavin Schulze; nieces and nephews Conice Boenicke and Kristen and family, Megan, Cyndi and Jimmy Zagorski and kids David, Brandon and Caleb Childs.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents John and Margie Schulze and Grandma and Grandpa McCoy.
