BrownwoodMusicWeAreTheWorldProgram090816Brownwood Music, local teachers and the Head Start program are gearing up for a community concert with over 50 children and young adults ages 4 to 20 who will sing “We are the World” in honor of police, fire and first responders.  This program, the next “jam and concert” is set for 4-10 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th at Brownwood Music.  Justin Gambino will also be performing. The special tribute will be performed at 6:00 p.m. “We are hearing bad media out there and our community needs to support and honor our heroes,” said Jodie Armstrong, owner of Brownwood Music.

Music fans are invited to attend and show support for police officers, firefighters and emergency medical providers.  Food will be sold and organizers will be making a video.  Armstrong stated that she hopes many people will join in honoring first responders, by song, and by joining in praying for them.

The program will be short in length.  “The language of love that everyone speaks is music,” Armstrong stated.  “We just want to share that with Brown County and our first responders.”
