Early Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Thursday, July 21st for Bill B Que. Bill B Que is owned by Ryan and Sandra Powell.

Bill B Que is a vending and catering business located in Early.  They serve championship brisket, pork and sausage at special events such as Riverfest, Early Pioneer Days and catering for weddings, business meetings or any event that needs catering.

Ryan is the pit master who has always had a love for cooking and began barbecuing over 15 years ago. He began competing while living in Minnesota. After winning his first Grand Champion in a rib cook off, he pursued perfecting his barbecuing skills. This led to several first place winnings and grand championships in not only ribs but also brisket, pork and chicken.

The business, Bill B Que, was named in honor of Ryan’s father who was killed by a drunk driver 10 years ago. His father also loved to barbecue.

In 2013, Sandra’s job with 3M relocated the Powell’s from Minnesota to Texas. Ryan was able to barbecue all year long now and the championships continued. It was at this time they decided to turn Ryan’s love for barbecuing into a business. The Bill B Que orange food trailer was designed, built and ready for business the summer of 2015.

When Ryan isn’t barbecuing, he works for 3M and volunteers on the Early Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoys attending and participating in his daughter Riley’s school events. The Powell’s have made Early their home and look forward to serving the community with great food.

For those interested in catered barbecue for meetings or events, call at 325-998-9285 or visit Bill B Que’s Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/BillBQueCatering.

The Early Chamber of Commerce thanks Ryan and Sandra for all their involvement in the Early community and are glad to have Bill B Que as a part of the Early Chamber of Commerce.
