Law Enforcement Blotter 7/26

Monday, July 25

*10:17 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant stated she and her husband had received a letter from a collection agency stating they owed a local business $344.19 for three checks which had been used in the store.  The incident was documented, the report states.

*12:19 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at a lot located on South Lakes Drive in Brownwood, regarding theft.  The complainant explained that her pop up trailer had been damaged while it was located on a public property, when someone had “cut up” the trailer’s frame.

*1:46 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Vine Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a purse containing a valuable ring and personal identification was stolen from the vehicle.

*6:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding suspicious circumstances.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of a male subject, identified as 22-year-old Jeffery Wayne Allen of Brownwood, for public intoxication.

*9:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of Austin Avenue regarding and alarm sounding at a local business.  According to the report, an investigation determined that the pharmacy had been burglarized when unknown suspects entered through a window and stole two bottles of prescription medication, valued at approximately $200 total.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Amanda Nicole Cantu of Brownwood on a parole warrant.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Brandon Michael Hampton of Brownwood on a warrant related to aggravated sexual assault of a child.  Hampton was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

*49-year-old Michael Allen Marx of Brownwood turned himself in on warrants related to two counts of failure to appear and two counts of open storage.

*23-year-old Charles Thomas Mason of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Raul Hernandez Ruiz, Jr. of Brady on a warrant related to criminal nonsupport.

*Brownwood Police arrested 50-year-old Jerry Ned Woodcock of Santa Anna on a warrant related to a parole violation.

Tuesday, July 26

*Brownwood Police arrested 56-year-old Richard Allan McCann of Brownwood on a Taylor County warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement jail records.
