mainThe City of Brownwood is an Authorized Provider for the American Red Cross and will be accepting registrations for the Summer Learn to Swim Program.

Registration will be at the Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center at 3201 Milam Drive starting 8:00 am to 9:45 am on June 16th & 17th. There are limited instructors, so registration will be limited to a first come, first serve basis.  For parents who are unsure of what swim level their child is, instructors will be able to test them in the water, so they need to be prepared to enter the water.

The three “Learn to Swim Sessions” will have 45 minute classes beginning the following dates:

June 21st thru July 1st:        8 am  or   9 am
July 19th thru July 29th:       8 am  or  9 am
Aug 2nd thru Aug 12th:        8 am  or  9 am

Entry fees are $50 per session per student. Scholarships are available.  For more information or questions, please contact the City of Brownwood Parks and Recreation Office at (325) 646-0146.
