Brownwood Library Offers Education and Children’s Activities

The Brownwood Public Library has many interesting programs for its patrons this summer, including summer reading club, grown-up coloring club and basic smartphone education.  Mark your calendar for these special events for children and adults, get more out of your summer through visiting the Brownwood Public Library.

The public is invited to attend the coming events listed below.

Tuesday June 14 at 6 PM
Beginning Smartphone Class
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Description: Learn all the basics of using your smart phone at the Brownwood Library. This class will cover these basics for Android phones. Windows and iPhone users are welcome to attend but your settings and apps are different. Please sign up at the Brownwood Library.

Thursday, June 16 at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Summer Reading Club: San Angelo Symphony
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Description: Join us with San Angelo Symphony for Summer Reading Club 2016. Open to all kids, 0-17. Be sure to sign up for Summer Reading Club at the library for a chance to win some great prizes.

Thursday, June 23 at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Summer Reading Club: Brownwood Fire Department
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Join us with Brownwood Fire Department for Summer Reading Club 2016. Open to all kids, 0-17. Be sure to sign up for Summer Reading Club at the library for a chance to win some great prizes.

Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Summer Reading Club: Dinosaur Valley State Park
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Description: Join us with Kathy Lenz from the Dinosaur Valley State Park for Summer Reading Club 2016. Open to all kids, 0-17. Be sure to sign up for Summer Reading Club at the library for a chance to win some great prizes.

Tuesday July 5 at 6 PM
Grown-up Coloring Club
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Description: Join the adult coloring craze! Join us at the library on the first Tuesday of the month for a relaxing time of coloring, fun and friendship. We’ll provide crayons, colored pencils and coloring sheets, but feel free to bring your own. Open to all adults, no registration necessary. Will be on June 7, July 5, August 2, and September 6 at 6:00.

Thursday, July 7 at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Description: Join us with Jackie Anderson from Brownwood Music for Summer Reading Club 2016. Open to all kids, 0-17. Be sure to sign up for Summer Reading Club at the library for a chance to win some great prizes.

Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Summer Reading Club: Abilene Kennel Club
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Join us with Abilene Kennel club for Summer Reading Club 2016. Open to all kids, 0-17. Be sure to sign up for Summer Reading Club at the library for a chance to win some great prizes.

Thursday, July 21 at 3 PM – 5 PM
Summer Reading Club: Puppets, Music and Stories
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
Join us with Dru Woods for Summer Reading Club 2016. This is the final event of Summer Reading Club. If you have been reading and participating, we will have a pizza party and drawing for prizes! Open to all kids, 0-17. Be sure to sign up for Summer Reading Club at the library for a chance to win some great prizes.

Tuesday August 2 at 6 PM
Grown-up Coloring Club
Location: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St, Brownwood, Texas 76801
