MooreJimmieFuneral services for Jimmie Neal Moore, age 81, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Scroggs officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:00.

Jimmie passed from this life on Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Brownwood.

Jimmie was born on September 4, 1934 in Dallas Methodist Hospital to Vern and Margaret (Carr) Moore.  He attended Bloomington High School in Bloomington, Texas. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Ann Stubblefield in 1954.  Jimmie attended the University of Texas and began a career with Union Carbide.  After 36 years, he retired as a Sr. Chemical Engineer. He and Mary Ann were longtime members of First United Methodist Church in Victoria.  The Moores moved to Brownwood in 2007 where they joined First United Methodist Church in Brownwood.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann of Brownwood; two daughters, Annabelle Morgan and husband Kenny of Russellville, Kentucky and Elizabeth Olivares and husband Nelson of Brownwood; a son, Jimmie Moore, Jr. and wife Kathy of McGregor; eleven grandchildren, Lauren and husband Joey, John and wife Maggi, Bobby and wife Julie, Eddie, Rebecca and husband Paul, Jimmie III and wife Ariel, Brian and wife Nicole, Michael and fiancé Lucinda, Danielle and husband Chris, Mary and husband Matt; eleven great-grandchildren, Colin, Lily, Emily Nicole, Eli, Thad, Douglas, Emilie Jo, Kynleigh, Gwendalyn, Mia, and Mavery; a brother, Paul Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Victor and Gale Moore; two sisters, Laverne Peck and Ruth June Metzler and a great-grandchild, Josiah Rosborough.

The family wished to thank Solaris Hospice and the caregivers at Songbird Lodge for the great care that Jimmie received.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Jimmie’s memory to First United Methodist Church of Brownwood or a favorite charity.
