BrownCoAuditorJenniferRobisonStephen Ellis, District Judge, 35th Judicial District of Texas, announced May 27th, 2016, that he has appointed Jennifer D. Robison, CPA, as the new Brown County Auditor, effective June 1st, 2016 to fill the unexpired term of this office which ends December 31, 2016.  Ms. Robison will be present in the District Courtroom at 3:00 p.m. on May 31st, 2016 for the public hearing concerning the setting of her salary by Judge Ellis.  A copy of the Order Appointing County Auditor is attached, along with a photograph of Ms. Robison.

“I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Robison has agreed to accept my appointment as the new Brown County Auditor.  She is extremely well qualified.  Ms. Robison is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant.  Since January 2009, she has served as owner and managing member of Saladino & Robison, LLC, with offices at 309 S. Fisk, Brownwood, Texas.  Before that, she worked as a CPA with Boucher Morgan & Young, CPAs, Stephenville, TX, and D.R. Horton, Inc., Ft. Worth, TX, and as a Tax Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, in Ft. Worth, Texas.  She began her career with P. Stephen Patterson, P.C. in Lubbock, TX in 1999 as an accountant,” Ellis said.

Jennifer is from Comanche, Texas where she graduated high school in 1994.  She graduated from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas, in May 1999 with a BBA in Finance with a Math Minor.  She has been a Licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2003.

Judge Ellis stated, “Ms. Robison will be allowed to continue with her private practice as a Certified Public Accountant with the understanding that she will perform all of the duties required by law of the Brown County Auditor and avoid any conflict of interest between her role as a CPA and her duties as the Brown County Auditor.  Her role will be done in a similar way as previous Brown County Auditors who also maintained their practices as CPAs while serving as the Auditor, such as Betty Bell and Rex Bessent.”
