Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

fishingBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 64–68 degrees; 0.67’ high. Black bass are good on redbug and watermelon red Shaky heads with Grande Bass Baby Rattlesnakes and topwaters. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Rat–L–Traps and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are good on white Li’l Fishies and black/chartreuse tube jigs in 10–20 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch in 5–15 feet.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 65–69 degrees; 0.37’ high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 67–72 degrees; 43.86’ low. Black bass are fair on Senkos, chatterbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs fished shallow. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 66–70 degrees; 11.64’ high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
