DayBillBilly J. Day, 79, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his home.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM, Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel; the services will be officiated by Mike Isbell.  Burial with Masonic rites will follow in Heflin Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home from 6-8 pm.

Billy J. Day was born March 7, 1937 in Tarrant County, Texas to his mother, Ida May Day.  He met and married Jo Ann Stockman on April 30, 1959.  Billy was a life-time member of the Bangs Masonic Lodge #926 and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rites Master Mason.  He loved sitting in the coffee shop with all his friends socializing.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.  Billy loved his family and lived to show his support on a daily basis.  He was dearly known as “Old Paw Paw” by his great grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Day and his grandson, Bolton Layne Day.

Billy leaves to cherish his memory his children, Billy Ray Day and wife, Vicki, Curtis Lee Day and wife, Debbie, and Martha Ann Pruitt and fiancé Russell Dougherty; his grandchildren, Brandon Day, Billy J. Day, Bethany Jo Ann Day, Christopher Day, T. J. Hubbard, Josh Hubbard, Jennifer Yeats, Dustin Fulton, Jason Pruitt, Sonya Clear and Jammie Carter; 22 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
